Welcome to temporary office, a space dedicated to the promotion, distribution and exhibition of things that for now, Paola Fernandez/Belen Fenandez has managed to produce, think or organize, mostly against her own excuses and self-doubt.

Calligraphy inks, watercolor and markers fixated on discarded polypropylene, a material heavily used to temporarily protect documents. While the material in itself poses an impossibility for wet media, through various efforts using distilled water and alcohol, it allows colors and textures to be regarded from both sides, to be overlapped with each other, configuring a potential scroll for coincidence or a machine for shapes imagining.
These tiles made with inks, oil and acrylics on ceramics, represent an effort to recover memories through the material qualities of a house lost. The house of my childhood is nothing but what my mind can recall: elusive patterns of a floor that once felt like an ocean.
Watercolor as a media on paper has represented a long interest as of the ways water seems to decide wether to remain on one specific place or to just flow, producing a conversation between paper and color despite the efforts on controlling both.
